Perna's Plant & Flower Shop - Princeton Flower Delivery is a full-service florist and garden center. We have an outdoor garden center, an indoor greenhouse, and a flower shop.
What can be found in your garden center?
Our full-service garden center is stocked with everything a gardener could need. We have annual plants, perennial plants, hanging baskets, Burpee plant seeds, planters, ceramic pots, gloves & hand trowels, fertilizer, pest management supplies, bagged soil, bagged mulch, bird baths, bird feeders, bird seed, and more.
What kind of flowers and plants do you sell?
Perna's Plant & Flower Shop - Princeton Flower Delivery offers a wide variety of annual & perennial plants, as well as indoor house plants. Outside in the garden center, we offer annuals & perennials for full sun to full shade. We carry vegetable plants from lettuces to tomatoes and peppers, as well as herbs for use in the kitchen! Our garden center has large patio plants like mandevilla and hibiscus available during the summer. We offer some shrubs, including hydrangeas and butterfly bushes, and a few types of evergreen plants. We carry a selection of Proven Winners annuals, perennials, hydrangeas, and other shrubs. Also, we have a dedicated section of the garden center for native perennial plants that provide important food and habitat for local pollinators.
Do you grow all of your own plants?
At Perna's Plant and Flower Shop - Princeton Flower Delivery, we do grow some of our plants. We grow our own heirloom tomatoes, peppers, specialty indian vegetables, genovese basil, lantana, cosmos, zinnias, and cleome from seed. From time to time we will grow additional things other than those listed. The majority of our nursery stock is sourced from local New Jersey growers. We do not grow our own indoor house plants.
How do I know what plants are in season?
At Perna's Plant and Flower Shop - Princeton Flower Delivery, our garden center is stocked with plants that are in season for the current time. We have cool-weather vegetables and pansies in the spring, zinnias and heat-loving annuals and veggies in the summer, and mums and celosia in the fall. During winter, our garden center offers fresh wreaths, swags, pine roping, and grave blankets for the holidays. Our indoor greenhouse is stocked all year with house plants and indoor blooming plants. How do I keep my flowers blooming?
At Perna's Plant and Flower Shop - Princeton Flower Delivery, we recommend fertilizing your plants on a weekly basis to promote continuous blooms and healthy growth. We also recommend watering your plants consistently to keep them healthy and keep stress levels low. A happy and healthy plant will perform best!
How long will my plants last?
Our annual plants should last through a frost in the fall with proper care and maintenance. Our perennial plants will last for years with proper care and maintenance; they die back in winter and grow again each spring. Our indoor house plants should last years with proper care and maintenance.
Is your shop open all year?
Our flower shop and indoor greenhouse are open all year. Our outdoor garden center is open in the spring through summer and into fall. In winter, the garden center has fresh wreaths, swags, pine roping, and grave blankets for sale.
Is your garden center and flower shop family friendly?
Yes, both our garden center and flower shop are family friendly. We are a family business; we pride ourselves on customer service and the relaxing, friendly atmosphere at our shop.
Do you allow dogs at your business?
Yes, dogs are allowed as long as they are leashed and do not cause a disturbance to other customers. Owners must clean up after their dogs and dispose of the waste properly. Please be aware that we have 5 working cats on premises - if your dog is not cat-friendly, please keep them outside away from the cats. Working service animals are always welcome.
